Asha Deep is a holistic skill training center to make today’s unorganized youth into tomorrow’s organized earners. It’s mission and purpose is to motivate, educate and inspire them to have better learning and better earning. Theprofessional approach to the whole training is to havea personal touch with the youth throughfriendly communication and monitored training. The preferential focus is to give skill and toinstill positive human values to the target groups; Dalits, tribals, minorities and deserving youth. Theylive here as one family and growskillfully and positively.Their minds are ignited with positive values and they glow with moral values.
Today’s modern youth are surrounded with electronic gadgets and social media, at times, it seems to be difficult to train them but not, gradually, when they are motivated and oriented towards their goal of life they are able to get rid of the gadgets and start learning. Technical training is given and placed in different hospitals, hotels and companies in India. Many alumnae call us and share their life with us. When I they begin earning and living better, we feel very joyful and motivated to commit ourselves to work more.our experience of being with them in the technical training gives us immense joy.
We feel that a society must always give special attention to fulfil their dreams, concerns and aspirations of its youth because they are the ones who will shape its future.Our residential technical training lays foundation for transforms their life. The girls who are socially and economically discriminated againstbenefita lot from the residential skill training. We have trained girls who have not gone out of their homes, have got a chance to learn skill to support their families. There are boys and girls who started their earningaroundRs.5000 per month and nowearn more than Rs.25000 per month.This is the successful story and mission of Asha Deep under Patna Jesuit society. It creates better human society.
On 31st July 2010, Bishop J.B. Thakur, SJ along with many priests, and sisters over 90 of them were present for the naming of the place (as Asha Deep) and celebration of the feast of our founder St. Ignatius. The dream of the province came true when we began the DB Tech program which was from the Government of India, through the order of Salesians, which was meant for the BPL youth. The ministry of Asha Deep got a new life with the coming of the D.B.Tech program which was started on 12th of Dec 2010. The community also grew from two to four. The whole hearted support, cooperation, help and support of the Patna Jesuits, diocesans and sisters working in the social action, parishes and schools was tremendous help in starting the program in full swing. The province helped us to put up one more floor on the existing building and it was completed in the beginning of 2011 and also we increased the facility of the campus so that we could conduct the training effectively.
Our model of training starts with mobilization followed by counseling, admission, training, placement and tracking. It is very helpful for the youth of today. To accompany young people on their journey through skill training appears as a renewed mission of doing good led by the good Spirit, thinking with the Society of Jesus and the Ignatian family. Not only is there the long tradition of work in education, but also the presence of so many young people all over Bihar, Jharkhand, Orrisa, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarhand west Bengal makes the religious call even more appealing.Its aim is to accompany the young on their existential journey to maturity so that, through a process of training, they discover their plan for life and realize it with joy: it opens up to the encounter withhuman values, and actively participate in the building up of the new and renewed society.
We are grateful to Patna Jesuit society, Miseror, Manos Unidas and Don Bosco society for their initiative to support morally and financially to train skillfully the youth of Bihar to earn better and live better.
